Ahead of the 2018 World Cup, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen is feared to miss the biggest football event with Denmark in Russia.
Eriksen, who brought Denmark to the World Cup with a memorable hat-trick against Ireland in the playoffs, revealed through his official Instagram account that they are expecting a baby with his long-term partner Sabrina Kvist Jensen.
International coach Age Hareide already spoke to the Danish playmaker but admitted that they haven’t tackled the childbirth. (Check 12BET for more Soccer Betting Tips)
“I have spoken to Christian, but it was about football and not just childbirth. It’s all new to me, but we’ll talk about it in the New Year when we’ve been looking at when it can happen. I think it’s a bit early to talk about the birth. We are concentrating on other things: to continue playing good football. We’ll discuss it in private when it’s time. I do not want to think about it now. It’s the difference between a football coach and a journalist. You can speculate about that, I do not have to do it. If there are any problems, we’ll solve it. Childbirth is after all something of the most important thing in life. So, we’ll deal with it when that time comes.” Denmark head coach Hareide stated
Denmark is scheduled to face Peru, Australia, and France next year.
