As the 2018 World Cup comes to a close, Sydney FC boss Graham Arnold has dropped himself out as one of the candidates to coach Australia in the biggest sports event that will take place in Russia.
Few days ago, Football Federation Australia (FFA) announced that Arnold was among of the shortlisted to handle the Socceroos but the 54-year-old coach confirmed that he is 100% committed to Sydney FC.

“I am committed to Sydney FC and 100% focused on seeing out this season and winning two more trophies for this great club. I can confirm I will not be coaching the Socceroos in Russia.” The manager of A-League club Sydney FC said in their official website.
The Sky Blues chairman Scott Barlow added that they are looking forward on winning back-to-back A-League trophy and will discuss long-term plans over Arnold, who will remain at the club for at least the end of the 2017/18 A-League season. (Sign Up now for more updated news and sports event)
“Graham will be our Head Coach here at Sydney FC until at least the end of this season. Beyond that, we look forward to continuing our discussions about our long-term plans together. Everyone at the club is focused on winning back to back A-League titles and embarking on our most successful Asian Champions League campaign ever.” Barlow expressed
Meanwhile, FFA, led by chief executive David Gallop, is set to interview other leading prospects like Roberto Mancini, Juergen Klinsmann, Slaven Bilic, Louis van Gaal, Bert van Marwijk and Marcelo Bielsa.
Marwijk already confirmed that he’s part of the short lists and he admitted that he could possibly coach Australia this upcoming June and July 2018 World Cup.
