Brazil to use Tottenham’s training ground as part of World Cup preparations

Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) has announced their partnership with Tottenham Hotspur ahead of this year’s World Cup.

According to the governing body of football in Brazil, the national team will be utilizing Tottenham’s training facilities as part of their preparation in one of the biggest sporting event in Russia.

Earlier, the CBF announced that they signed an agreement to use the Premier League club’s newly completed lodge as their training base on May 28 as they prepare for their final tune-ups before the tournament kicks off in June 14.

The five-time World Cup champions are due to play on June 3 against Croatia in England but the venue is yet to be confirmed. In addition to that, the Selecao are scheduled to travel the following week to Vienna to play against Austria.

“In addition to the friendlies, a partnership has been made official with Tottenham FC, who will make their facilities available for training as from May 28. The selecao will have a gym, swimming pool and two official-size football pitches available to them, as well as a recently built hotel inside the training centre.” The CBF said in a statement

On the other hand, the Spurs confirmed the partnership on their social media accounts and website that will end until June 8.

“The Brazil National Team will use our newly completed Lodge as their training base ahead of the World Cup in Russia this summer.” Tottenham stated

Moving forward, Brazil’s campaign is set to start against Switzerland on June 18 before facing Cost Rica and Serbia in Group E.
