Brazil coach Tite named 15 of 23 players for World Cup

As the start of the world’s most prestigious tournament in Russia comes to a close, Brazil coach Tite has already confirmed 15 of the 23 players that will be heading to the 2018 World Cup.

Other than that, he also announced the starting XI that he will be using on June 14 to July 15, 2018.

Here are the full lists of the starting 11:

Goalkeeper Alisson Ramses Becker (Roma), Daniel Alves (PSG), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Marquinhos (PSG), Miranda (Inter Milan), Casemiro (Real Madrid), Paulinho (Barcelona), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan), Phillippe Coutinho (Barcelona), Neymar (PSG), and Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City).

“The 11 who will start are Alisson; Marcelo, Miranda, Marquinhos, Daniel Alves; Paulinho, Renato Augusto and Casemiro, Neymar, Coutinho and Gabriel Jesus,” The 56-year-old Tite said in an interview with UOL Esportes, a popular Brazilian website.

Thiago Silva (PSG), Fernandinho (Man City) Willian (Chelsea) and striker Roberto Firmino (Liverpool) will complete the 15 squad members on Brazil’s initial roster.

The five-time World Cup winners were drawn in Group E with Switzerland, Costa Rica and Serbia.

Moving forward, Brazil’s first game will be against Switzerland on June 18 at 2:00 AM (GMT +8).
